About Byron’s

Byron's has been making delicious, smokehouse-quality American barbecue since 1957, when Byron Charleon started selling the homemade BBQ recipe that made him famous in his hometown for years.

We still do it the same way he did back then: by slowly smoking hand-pulled meat over an open-pit hardwood fire and finishing with a quick freeze to seal in flavor.

Today, we continue to honor Byron's dedication to flavor and quality in every package of Byron's BBQ, made on the same plot of land in Gallatin, Tennessee, where he set up his first smokehouse. That's an American legacy we’re proud of.

Heating Instructions

For Food Safety, Quality, And Thorough Heating, Please Follow The Instructions Below.
Keep Frozen Until Ready To Prepare.
Product Is Not Ready To Eat Until Fully Cooked To An Internal Temperature Of 165°F For 15 Seconds.

Microwave instructions developed using an 1100-watt microwave oven. Due to differences in appliances, heating times may vary and require adjustment. CAUTION – PRODUCT WILL BE HOT!

CONVENTIONAL OVEN:

  1. Preheat Oven To 350°F.
  2. Remove outer carton and film, place tray on a baking sheet.
  3. From frozen, bake 1 or 2 trays for 60 minutes.
  4. From thawed, bake 1 or 2 trays for 35 minutes.
  5. Stir product halfway through heating.
  6. Stir before serving.

MICROWAVE:

  1. Remove outer carton and film.
  2. Cover with paper towel and place 1 tray on microwave-safe plate.
  3. From frozen, microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.
  4. From thawed, microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
  5. Uncover, stir, and replace cover.
  6. From frozen, microwave an additional 6 minutes.
  7. From thawed, microwave an additional 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
  8. Remove cover and stir before serving.

SLOW COOKER:

  1. Thaw product under refrigeration 12 – 16 hours.
  2. Place 1 or 2 trays of product in a slow cooker.
  3. Heat 1 tray on HIGH, covered, for 1 hour and 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Heat 2 trays on HIGH, covered, for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
